Your Rubber Is On Fire: San Francisco Bay Bridge Self Ignites In Commuter Inferno of Flaming Engineering Hell
While the new giant-zipper lane divider of the San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge has had Northern California Almond farmers in a tizzy about their nut-sacks, The New San Francisco Bay Bridge has now burst into flames, in the middle of traffic, on multiple occasions.
The bolts on the new bridge are constantly breaking, and now the very seams that hold the bridge together are bursting into flames.
Many blame the extensive failures on corruption and crony supplier deals. Crony suppliers, though, have denied that any of their materials were corrupt. They say that their joints have always tolerated this kind of stress with these rubbers and their mountings.
